"A new techno-wonder"
Ayurveda a system of traditional medicinenative to the Indian subcontinent and a form of alternative medicine that dates back to 5,000 BEE. The entire diagnostic method of Ayurveda is based on the technique of reading the pulse is known as Nadi Vidnyan and the examination of through this method is called Nadi Parikshan. Nadi corresponds to pulse and Vidnyan means understanding, comprehension or specialized knowledge. It is a very old method and in olden days the Rajvaidya (King's Doctor), while examining the queen used to tie a silk thread to queen's hand read the vibrations.

In fact this is one of the earliest technology where silk thread as an external object was used as an external tool for pulse examination. (Very similar to stethoscope)

Nadi Parikshan is a science perfected over time and has been the most accurate diagnostic procedure even today and a handful of people are following this science in present times. The three fingers (i.e. index finger, middle finger and ring finger) symbolizing Vata, Pitta & Kapha are used as the receptors and screening tools to diagnose and scan all the internal conditions of the body as per ayurveda.

Diagnosis is the key to treatment and in the present medical scenario and diagnosis has become technical through various equipments, tests and examinations. The advantage of equipments and tests is standardization of the diagnosis, hence uniformity of the results.

The emergence has technology has helped medical practitioners in locating the disorders and exact problems. The present use of technology in medical field can be seen in the use of various prevalent technologies like PET Scan, CT Scan, MRI, X -Ray, Doppler, Ultrasound, EEG, ECG, etc.
